wow - just wow on Anna's reaction.
I think it perfectly sums up both the current situation as well as her feelings on the Fall of D'ni all those years ago.
@Nagi: ^___^ score! I'm glad you think so!
I've been meaning to compliment you on your patient willingness to take as many panels as you feel necessary to depict the key moments as the characters' emotions change, as their internal stories progress. It's rare these days to see artists who aren't in a hurry to get from point A to point B in the shortest possible number of panels!
Anna's expression in the first panel on this page (72): looks like either a "ho-hum" or an "oy vey" - was that the intention?
@Emor D'ni Lap: Thank you! I'm glad you like that. That's good to hear.
I really enjoy seeing the change in emotions in a character. For me, being able to piece together a character's inner dialogue from their acting is the most fun part of reading fiction. I don't enjoy as much comics where the jumps from panel to panel are too broad, and you don't get a sense of the thought process.
Anyway, for this first panel, what I meant was to show her about to say something, like about to argue with his previous point, but then nothing comes out. I could've put a "well..." there or something ... but I didn't want to for some reason. I can see how it looks like she's saying "oy vey" :D
I think this is an example where I thought the expression could be clearer but I liked the drawing so I let it slide >_<
