This is why Atrus' journals have crumbs in them. ;)
Riij has teeth like a dog. Great choice!
As he ate the roll of bread,
Atrus looked down at the bed.
He picked up the new D'ni shirt,
Not knowing that Rij was alert.
He heard a sound like inhaled air,
And saw that Rij was sitting there.
Atrus reached into his bag,
And tossed a roll for Rij to snag.
He grinned and scratched Rij on the head,
And then glanced at his father's bed.
Gehn was sleeping upon his back,
His breath was easy, his jaw was slack.
Atrus thought, "Who is this man?
Why did he come? What is his plan?"
With Rij watching with a worried face,
Atrus walked over at a measured pace.
Thanks for getting the new pages out, Heather!
Wonderful storytelling, as always.
I especially like panel two on this page, with Atrus holding the shirt, pen, journal in his lap and biscuit in his mouth, while Rij sniffs...lots going on there!
...and you put a lot of thought and care put into the lighting here, as always.
Another great page. No words spoken, yet their thoughts are so clear.
Also, very enjoyable page!
@Marein: Thank you. It's something I enjoy.
I cant wait for the next page, but alas I have to and I enjoy each one. The work involved must be a lot to get the story correct
I really ove the feeding sequence. :-)
Your Atrus is adorable. Also, in Myst news, Obduction hit its Kickstarter goal today. (That's Cyan's new game.) Still two days left, guys. :D
Ms. Larkin, did you fall down a well again?
We miss you!
God its so beautiful..I want more..so much more ;_;
Are you going to continue anytime soon? I miss this very much! :'(
I have just discovered this strip and am impressed with what you have done. Congratulations!
I hope you will post more often, I am anxious to see what you have done with one of my favorite books; especially looking forward to seeing your interpretation of Dn'i.
I really enjoyed this book, and the work you're doing, especially regarding the subtleties, is wonderful. I'd love to see you complete it.
Is this project dead? :(
Will there be more comics of Atrus?
I absolutely love this book, and these illustrations are just as wonderful. Please don't let this project die.
